VÍTKOVICE CYLINDERS is a manufacturer of steel grinding balls with long tradition (since 1961). In 1997 and 1998 the entire production process was streamlined and provided with additional manufacturing equipment.
The grinding ball production process uses input materials the properties of which are continuously analysed and developed to improve the grinding ball end-use properties and customer satisfaction.
The combination of high-grade steel with high volume hardness of the grinding balls guarantees low wear values in grinding. The heat treatment process is described in a great detail so that each grinding ball is uniformly hardened to achieve the best mechanical properties.
The grinding balls are currently the second most important VÍTKOVICE CYLINDERS product. They are available in the following hardness standards (and can also be customized to the special customer requirements):
|
59-65 HRC | for diameters D16 - D50 |
| 57-64 HRC | for diameters D60 - D70 | |
| 55-62 HRC | for diameters D80 - D100 | |
| 50-60 HRC | for diameter D120 | |
|
42-55 HRC | for diameters D16 and more |
|
240-360 HB | for diameters D16 and more |
