OSHA management system

VÍTKOVICE CYLINDERS a.s. has implemented the OSHA management system in accordance with the principles of the "Safe Business" program. The implementation of the OSHA management system in accordance with the principles of the "Safe Business" program aims at increasing of the safety level and health protection at work, including environment protection, creating conditions to implement effective management system and helping the meeting the Czech legislation based on the requirements of EU directives more easily. For the use of stakeholders, we publish the accepted OSHA policy. In the upcoming period, we shall transform this system in accordance with OHSAS 18001 standard.

Safety and health protection policy

VÍTKOVICE CYLINDERS a.s. is a significant traditional manufacturer of seamless steel pressure bottles and vessels, CNG vessels for automotive industry, pressure accumulators and mill balls and of engineering applications such as compressed natural gas filling stations, storage systems (bundles), trailers etc.

We consider ensuring the high quality level of our products while assuring the safety and health protection at work as priority to be successful and achieve prosperity of our joint-stock company and increase its competitive strength in domestic and foreign markets.

Our goal is to assure and permanently improve working convenience and culture in the company in relation to the Quality Policy and EMS declared . We create appropriate working environment and social securities for our employees, supporting their self-fulfillment.

The management of VÍTKOVICE CYLINDERS a.s. decided to declare, in the interest of increasing and improving the level of health protection and safety at work, in accordance with the company strategic intents and objectives, the following OSHA Policy.

  • Assure and promote all obligations implied by legal and other requirements related to the health protection and safety at work.
  • Pay permanent attention to create conditions to increase the level of work culture and overall working convenience.
  • Create conditions to assure safe and wholesome working environment and accept measures to prevent possible risks.
  • Take measures to resolve potential emergency events and other severe risks.
  • Apply consistent prevention to avoid breakdowns, potential accidents and situations that might have negative impact upon health of employees.
  • Create conditions to assure safe and wholesome working environment and accept measures to overcome and prevent emergency events.
  • Assure and promote the OSHA principles with all our contractors and prefer those partners who apply the same.
  • Permanently improve activities undertaken and working conditions of our employees to minimize their negative impact upon environment, safety and health protection at work.
  • Use and improve the system of employee education to increase their expert knowledge and responsibilities for health protection and safety at work.
  • Permanently improve, in cooperation with unions, the activities undertaken and working conditions of our employees to minimize their negative impact upon environment, safety and health protection at work.
Management of VÍTKOVICE CYLINDERS a.s. undertakes:
  • to assure corresponding resources for the safety management and create conditions allowing for promoting and fulfillment of declared OSHA policy and goals set,
  • to regularly review the appropriateness and adequacy of OSHA policy declared.
The company management members expects from the employees that, within their authorities and responsibilities, they will actively contribute to permanent fulfillment of OSHA policy declared and that they will actively participate in meeting thereof and achieving of goals in order to assure permanent improvement of safety and health protection at work.
